At the Fastnet Film Festival, a festival of short films held in Cork 22nd - 26th May 2024, director Thom Petty was there to receive the award for Best International Film.
Paul plays Howard, Ian Gelder plays Joseph.
Thom dedicated the award to the hugely talented and much missed Ian.

This fantasy adventure short film, on YouTube since Jan 2024, written and directed by Derek Boyes - www.delfilm.co.uk - has been a multi award winner at film festivals since its release in 2021. It’s young star Archie Lyndhurst, only 9 years old during filming in 2011, won Best Actor at Children’s IFF Wales in 2022. Paul plays retired judge and aspiring writer, stuffy Great Uncle Geoffrey.

In Berlin, Ticker was 1 of the 8 out of 150 British Shorts to be nominated for the Jury Prize.
As an Official Selection of London Short Film Festival it was screened at the Curzon Soho on 26th January where directors, including Thom Petty were invited to introduce their film.
Ticker will screen at the Manchester International Film Festival 2024 on 23rd March.
Ticker is available to stream on Channel 4.
